Nerd Girl of Note #2

Who is it? Jolene Blalock
Why do nerds love her? She portrayed the vulcan T'Pol in ST:ENT
Nerd, or just loved by nerds? A bit of a nerd herself. Self proclaimed Trek fan as a kid who loved Mr. Spock.
Websites: Memory Alpha, IMDb

Jolene Blalock was a child surfer and Star Trek fan who became a model. Modeling led to acting, which led to an appearance on Veronica's Closet (1998, the Kirstie Alley fashion industry sitcom). This led to Blalock's first nerd role in the made for TV movie Jason and the Argonauts (2000) where she played Medea. She did some other TV work; CSI (Las Vegas), JAG, and the role of Ishta in two episodes of Stargate SG-1. This of course led to...

In ST:ENT, Blalock played the vulcan T'Pol, who had the stiffness of demeanor and tightness of costume to match her Trek hottie predescessor, Seven of Nine. T'Pol was a major feature in ST:ENT. For obvious reasons, she did not wear the standard issue baggy flight suit which acted as the Enterprise crew uniform, but instead wore a catsuit, a la Seven of Nine. He character was conflicted in ways similar to Spock, as the effect of her human comrades brought out more emotion than is proper. Unlike Spock, however, she does not have a human ancestry to blame.

Blalock has appeared in several men's magazines, including Maxim and Playboy. Recently, she appeared in the direct to video release of Starship Troopers 3: Marauder as Captain Lola Beck.
