Nerd Girl of Note #40

I have had a thing for Thora Birch ever since I saw Ghost World. She did a great job of taking Enid, the character you are supposed to like, and giving her qualities that you will not like. Sure, the writing has something to do with that, but believability comes from the actress. Ultimately you like Enid, warts and all.

Oh, and she was in that [cough]Dungeons & Dragons[cough!] movie.

BTW: If you have not seen Ghost World, please do so. I don't endorse too many films as "must sees" — this is one.

I also wholeheartedly endorse Ghost World as a must see movie. I've also had a thing for Thora Birch for quite some time as well. She is quite a cutie.

Yup, gotta echo the love in for Thora. She is delicious especially in Ghost World. The crazy ass dancing she does at the start of that movie just sets the tone for me. Who would have thought that Scarlett is the homely one of the two?

She doesn't really do it for me!

Lots of Ghost World lovers... I think Wednesday might bring us another movie in a similar vein. One clue: there is kite flying involved.

@KitFR - I hope you are joking, but if not I guess we all have our Megan Fox [flerg] girls :-)

First time I've seen this much discussion of Thora Birch without someone mentioning her parents were both porn stars. OOOPS! Sorry.

Wasn't her mom Archie Bunker on All in the Family?
