Who is it? Dyanne Thorne Websites Fan Site, Memory-Alpha Entry Why do nerds love her? Star Trek alumnus, the Ilsa movies. | |
It is almost the end of Dyanne Thorne Week @ D&N, so I thought I'd make a mention here. Dyanne Thorne is most famous for the career killing, yet fame sustaining role of Ilsa in four movies. Always nearly the same character, Ilsa is an evil character carving her niche (literally, at times) in a male dominated world of arch-villainy. Ilsa always has some sexual hang-up that proves to be her downfall. Aside from Ilsa, Dyanne appeared in the 1968 ST:TOS episode "A Piece of the Action" which placed Kirk and the gang on a mobster world run by Vic Tayback (Mel, of Mel's Diner fame). She appeared in a low-budget nudie sci-fi piece of crap, Wham Bam Thank You, Spaceman!, and the surprisingly funny, yet hopelessly dated Jim Belushi/John Ritter film Real Men. |
