I know, it's "Rainy Days & Mondays" but I wanted to mention a new bit of internet fun: #WeepySundayMusic.
I love no songs more than sad songs. Not just love songs types, songs of regret like the Sting/Johnny Cash "I Hung My Head" or the Gordon Lightfoot epic "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." Mickey Glitter got things rolling this morning with the Janice Ian classic "At Seventeen", and who knows, maybe it will stick. Wanna play along? Play a song and Twitt it with the #WeepySundayMusic hash-tag. Extra points to whoever plays the "official" weepy song, "Superstar" by The Carpenters, or for added creepiness, by Sonic Youth.
You can see what's been played so far at #WeepySundayMusic.
