Speaking of the old days...

Here are some old pics of a young Whiteplume. That's one thing Facebook is good for: want an old picture of yourself? Just go to your Mom's page :-D It appears that I liked cowboy shirts. Still do.

I got progressively uglier as the years went by. I am like the Picture of Dorian Gray, except that all my sins show twice on my face.

Whoa, where'd that last one come from? Why can't I look that stylin' any more? Dayum!

There is something hysterically sad about the birthday picture. The woman with her back to you, the kids who are excited by whatever she is doing and one kid who is actually looking at you but obviously restless. It should be on a hallmark card.

I think that is my aunt and cousins. Maybe it wasn't my birthday, as I can't imagine why I would have been there (if I am counting five candles, then that would have been a Colorado Springs to Cincinnati trip in mid October. I think not).

The inside of the card might read "Sorry no one cares it's your birthday." :-)

Lookin' good, Darius.

A bit of young Ricky Schroeder thing going on there in that last pic.

Sorry, but that's how I see it.

Actually not too far off from my pics of that era. I was a towhead too (or at least that's what we call the bleach-blonde hair thing 'round these parts), but turned a darker dish-water blonde (man these are some horrible descriptions of hair-color, eh?) later in junior-high, but sadly now have lost most of it. /frown

Ah well, bald is beautiful? "Who loves ya baby?" /grin

That last picture had me confused...is that Darius or Dean Martin. You should have a martini in one hand. Ah suede...were you ever a good look?

@K&S - Thank you, my friend.

@Yoyorobo - I still have all of it, and am nearly as blonde, save that I am getting the Reed Richards Grey sides and a mad scientist streak in the front. If I had dark hair it would be cool!

Dishwater and Toe Head are awful terms. Why not just say ghastly as fuck blonde?

As for the Rick Schroeder thing - I was probably full of coke at the time, so it's a fair comparison :-D

@Cal - If grandma was around I might have had a little Tanqueray & Tonic in me. She knew how to keep the kids quiet ;-)

Is that a denim sport coat? Nice!

Not sure if it is denim or suede (faux, I hope). I never know if parents buy kids clothes that they think look good, or if they are saying "man, the little shit will look ridiculous in that!" :-)
