Was This Rude of Me?
I am not the biggest Doctor Who fan in the world, and I will admit that I have not seen most of the Doctors in action. I have noticed lately that there is virtually no looking back for the new fans. I don't blame them. The Doctor Who specials on BBC America lately kind of got this started in my head, as they only look at the Matt Smith Doctor. Anyway, this is a fake "name The Doctor" form as compiled by a fictional new Whovian.

Took me a minute to remember who the "Maybe Dracula" one was. I had forgotten about the non-canon Doctor Who movies.
Never realized how much 8 looked like Snape but he really does.
My Fiancee loves number 7. He really is kind of like Columbo though in the show and I think that is part of the reason she likes him.
I've tried to watch a few episodes of the first Doctor and they are just so bloody boring.
The only 1st Doctor I tried was one with the Aztecs, and it was a bit boring.
I used to love the 4th Doctor best, but he was the only one I knew prior to the new 9-11 series. I really like the 3rd Doctor now.
I think the Cushing "Doctor Who and the Daleks" was streaming on Netflix but isn't at the moment.
I need to check out some of the others. #8 is compelling, if only for his Gothiness :-)
My favorite Doctor was John Pertwee (3rd) but they all have qualities that I like. I had the chance to meet Peter Davison (5th) and Sylvester McCoy (7th).
Number 8 definitely has that cool gothic look going on and he wasn't a bad Doctor. Unfortunately he only appeared in the god-awful Doctor Who TV movie with Eric Roberts as The Master.
@AK - I have yet to be disappointed with a Doctor, on the whole. Pertwee has a bit of John Steed going for him that I like.
@Rick - Eric Roberts... I like the guy, but Eric Roberts? :-)
Golf Magician had me laughing. He and Red Skelton were the actors playing the Doc back when I watched it...
@TP - I know next to nothing about Davison, but that just struck me. I was going to call him "Cricket Magician" but thought there were too many of us Yanks on Tumblr for it to be effective.
I have to say that I've always loved each incarnation of the Doctor, but Matt Smith especially. I think up until now I've never really had a favorite.
I do like Matt. I think he does call back to previous Doctors a bit more than Eccleston or Tennant. I do wonder where they'll go after The God Complex. Don't want to spoil it for anyone (again. I think I already did on Twitter. Sorry Natalie Morales).
